Grading Standards

In the United States, grading standards for whole dry peas, split peas, feed peas, lentils, and chickpeas exist in order to maintain the standard of quality U.S. product is known for around the globe.



The inspection of pulse crops is in accordance with the regulations under the Agricultural Marketing Act of 1946. This service is provided, upon request, by the Federal Grain Inspection Service (FGIS).
