Servings:
- 1 medium onion diced
- 4 medium carrot sliced
- 4 stalks celery sliced
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 2 medium sweet potato peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes
- 3 cup split peas, yellow dried; picked over and rinsed
- 1 (14 oz) link sausage, Keilbasa turkey Polska; sliced in coins
- 2 (32 oz.) cartons chicken broth (could sub with veggie broth)
- 1 tbsp curry powder
- 1 tbsp cumin
- 1 tsp ginger ground
- salt to taste (optional)
Instructions

In a slow cooker, add onions, carrots, celery, garlic, sweet potatoes, and split peas. Cover with broth. Add spices. Cook on high 4-6 hours until sweet potatoes are tender & soup reaches a thick consistency. If needed, cook an additional hour.
