Central Valley Bean Cooperative
Description
Central Valley Bean Cooperative (CVBC) is a grower-owned, edible bean cooperative established in 1982 by edible bean growers wanting an edible bean receiving and processing plant in eastern North Dakota. CVBC is located in Buxton, ND which is in the heart of the Red River Valley of the North. Fertile soils, good moisture, and long summer days are ideal growing conditions for dry edible beans. CVBC originates dry edible beans from its patrons throughout the growing regions of North Dakota and west central Minnesota. CVBC contracts, receives, buys, and stores the growers’ edible beans before cleaning, packaging, and shipping them to customers.
