Description
Under a port development authority, The Northwest Seaport Alliance (NWSA) is a joint operating agreement between the ports of Seattle and Tacoma. The NWSA manages the container, breakbulk, auto and some bulk terminals in Seattle and Tacoma. The Alliance, which brought two competing ports together, was formed in 2015. This allows the two ports to better compete on a global scale. Together, they make for one of the largest international Gateways in the United States.
