Washington Pulse Crop Commission
The Washington Pulse Crop Commission represents and supports Washington growers of dry peas, lentils and chickpeas. The Commission invests grower assessment dollars in programs that strengthen markets, support research, provide industry information, and advocate for the long-term success of pulse production.
Washington has a long history of growing high-quality pulses and is an important part of the U.S. pulse industry. The state’s climate, soils, and experienced growers make the region well suited for pulse production. Washington-grown dry peas, lentils and chickpeas are marketed throughout the United States and around the world.
The Commission works to ensure that grower dollars are invested in programs that deliver value back to Washington farms. Priorities include expanding domestic and international markets, supporting research that addresses production challenges, and providing growers with information and resources that can improve productivity and profitability.
Working in partnership with USA Pulses and other industry organizations, the Commission also gives Washington growers a stronger voice in national research, market development, and government affairs. These partnerships help build demand for Washington-grown pulses while supporting a strong and competitive future for Washington pulse growers.

WAPCC Board
The Washington Pulse Crop Commission Board meets throughout the year to guide Commission programs, review budgets and investments, discuss issues affecting Washington pulse growers, and set priorities for research, market development, and industry initiatives. Board meetings provide an opportunity to address current industry needs and ensure Commission resources continue to support Washington growers.
